The date has now been set for the 13th illa Carlemany community fun run, the Cursa Popular: Sunday, 12 May. The streets of Escaldes-Engordany and Andorra la Vella will once again become the backdrop of the country’s biggest community sports event, with hopes of reaching the record participation of 3,000 entries.

This year’s Sports Day for Everyone has become a day of great solidarity. When you sign up for the fun run and get the t-shirt, you’ll be contributing to the Andorra Càritas Food Bank.

The race has two circuit options: one is 5 km long and the other is 2 km long. The 5 K will be leaving from Avinguda Consell de la Terra, near the illa Carlemany Shopping Centre, at 10.30 AM. And, just a few minutes later, the 2 K run will be leaving from the same starting place.

This festivity will end with an awards ceremony for each race at Andorra La Vella’s Parc Central, or central park, at around 11.30 AM. Prizes and gifts will go out to the first three participants to cross the finish line in each category. Moreover, all those who finish the race will automatically be entered into a raffle for 15 illa Carlemany gift cards with a value of €150 each.

The winners’ names will be posted on Monday and the gift cards will be available for pick up at the Customer Service Point on the shopping centre’s ground floor.

This promotion and mode of registration are open until Sunday 28 April at 12.00 midnight. As of Monday, 6 May, participants may stop by to pick up their race numbers, race chips and t-shirts at the Customer Service Points located at illa Carlemany, where they can also register in person during that period.
