Andorra is widely known as a tourism destination country for many reasons, yet one of its main claims to fame is the Caldea spa complex, which is located just steps away from illa Carlemany, in the parish of Escaldes-Engordany.
After the coronavirus closure in Andorra, both the illa Carlemany shopping centre and Caldea have applied strict hygiene and sanitation controls. Moreover, in the case of Caldea, the water treatment is far more meticulous and specific and user admission is limited to 30% of the total normal capacity, to ensure social distancing. The use of masks is also required in all areas of shared use. At illa Carlemany, masks are required for anyone who wishes to enter the shopping centre or any of its establishments.
With the reopening of Caldea, the spa is also launching its transparent pool with panoramic views over Valira River, a new experience to enjoy at Andorra’s thermal spa. To spread word of its new space, Caldea has installed in illa Carlemany a large photocall that specifically replicates the panoramic pool, where you can take a fun photo with a virtual mermaid who will appear swimming and diving into the water next to you.
If you take part in the photocall initiative, you will receive discount vouchers for admission to the thermal spa, which you will have to exchange at the illa Carlemany Information and Customer Service Desk, on the ground floor.
