For shopping

How could anyone leave Andorra without having been shopping? Shopping in Andorra is especially alluring, not just because of the more reasonable prices, but also thanks to the longer business hours, the many specialised shops and the vast supply of brands and products.

The country’s par-excellence shopping district is located along the avenues Meritxell and Carlemany, in Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. And within this district, the pedestrian section is the liveliest area, and it is here that you will find the illa Carlemany shopping centre, one of the main points of attraction for shoppers.

You can buy virtually anything in Andorra, but the major brands in clothing and accessories are particularly present here, along with jewellery and watches. You can also find the latest innovations in computers and electronics, perfumes and cosmetics by all the leading brands, specialised sporting goods shops of all sorts, gourmet foods and of course, the classic and cliché products: tobacco and alcohol.

And you will find all these different segments at the illa Carlemany shopping centre. Brands like Montblanch, Swarovski, Liu Jo, Hugo Boss, G-Star, Napapijri, Levis, Geox, Adidas, Salomon, The North Face, Peak Performance, Scalpers, Rituals and Júlia Perfumeries all have their place in the shopping centre. Other brands, such as Michael Kors and Loewe, do not have shops of their own here, but can be found in other stores like Tango and Alex Boutique.

Gourmet products are also sold here. At Enoteca Cal Marquet, you are sure to enjoy an extensive list of wines, cavas, Champagnes and liqueurs, and the Caprabo supermarket has its own duty-free section, including tobacco and alcohol.

For a better shopping experience, we recommend that you take into account the customs duty reliefs, in other words, the limits in terms of the quantity or units of certain products that you can take across the border through customs. For more information, please click on www.duana.ad.

The Government of Andorra’s Consumer Service guarantees your rights as a consumer at all times. You may consult this service by clicking on www.conum.ad.

Finally, you need to know that the sales periods in Andorra are regulated by law. The winter sales begin a few days before Christmas and end at the beginning of March. Nevertheless, the sports items and equipment have their own specific sales period, which runs from mid-February to the end of April. In the summer, the sales begin at the end of June and extend to early September. For updates on the sales periods, visit www.comerc.ad.
