Spring is here! And although the warm weather won’t come overnight, the days are getting longer, the ritual of changing the clocks is approaching, and it’s time to banish the monotonous blacks and greys from the wardrobe. At illa Carlemany, the centre of Andorra, the shop windows are full of the atmosphere of spring and the new season’s collections with that gorgeous pop of colour that comes with this time of year.
After a 2020 characterized by comfortable clothes and basic neutral tones, the catwalks have taken on optimistic looks and adopted two notions of colour: pastels, and intense colours.
Among the pastels, last year’s lilac has been discarded in favour of baby blue or, to be more precise, the typical blue of surgical masks, but reinvented in an optimistic and fresh way. We’re also seeing mint green – a classic of the season – and light pink, as well as the recurring beige and earth, the so-called ‘nude’ colours.
In terms of intense colours, fuchsia takes pride of place. Hot pink, a favourite of the millennials, is playing a leading role; so our passion for neon has been recovered and the perfect combination comes with another colour from this group: bright green. Yellow and orange are also on the list, obviously. The latter is the more complex of the group, as it is very much associated with autumn, especially the russet shades; however, the more acidic tones will fit perfectly with the good weather.
Now that you know what the trendy colours are for the season, add some colour to your spring with the many brands on offer at illa Carlemany, the centre of Andorra!
