Ordino ArcalĂs makes history hosting the first official Freeride World Championships!
From 1â6 February 2026, Andorra will host the first FIS Freeride World Championships at Ordino ArcalĂs. This will be the first-ever official Freeride World Championships, held under the umbrella of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
This historic event consolidates freeriding as part of the winter sports ecosystem, and paves its way towards Olympic recognition, placing Andorra at the centre of the global snow sports scene.
66 elite riders from 17 countries competing
This premiere event will feature 66 professional riders from 17 countries in four official categories: menâs skiing, womenâs skiing, menâs snowboarding and womenâs snowboarding. The competitor list features top international names from the professional circuit alongside national riders representing Andorra, guaranteeing sporting excellence and maximum entertainment.
A unique and one-off competition: one week to crown the champions
Unlike the Freeride World Tour, which runs throughout the season at different venues around the world, the FIS Freeride World Championships will be decided in a single decisive week of competition, from 1â6 February 2026. The contest will be more demanding, intense and exciting, as the riders will have to perform at their best in a single event to be crowned world champion.
