Andorra, the chosen backdrop of the 2023 Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals

On the week of 1319 March, Andorra will be hosting the final rounds of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, one of the foremost events on the international alpine skiing circuit. L’Abarset and the Soldeu platform will be the epicentre of it all, accommodating the competitions and other related events and activities.

That said, the illa Carlemany shopping centre has by no means remained on the side lines. For those in the city, this is the place to go to experience the event. Special decorations throughout the shopping centre have been advertising it for days, and thanks to a screen installed by Grandvalira, visitors will be able to watch the most important heats of the week.

During the same week, Andorra will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Constitution.

A grand opening ceremony on the Avet slope in Soldeu is set to kick off this major week of skiing in Andorra. Teams from all around the world will be vying for the podium in the heart of the Pyrenees, the very same week that the country will be celebrating its place in the world. Tuesday, 14 March marks the 30th anniversary of the referendum that approved the Constitution. That momentous milestone ushered in a new era for the country, enabling it to take its place in the world…and even to position itself as a host for elite sports competitions, demonstrating among other things, the savoir-faire of this small yet great country.

On Constitution Day, the shopping centre will be opening its doors.

Constitution Day is one of the four days in the year when the shops are closed. Nevertheless, the shopping centre will be opening its doors. This means that the cafés, restaurants and cinemas will be offering their services, allowing visitors and residents alike to enjoy some entertainment.
