The streets have been filling up with Christmas decorations for days now – and they’ll be lit up very soon. Here at illa Carlemany we’ve been working hard since last week to get everything looking just right, as well as providing, yet again, a Christmas setting that will be even more reason to visit the shopping centre from this Thursday 25th November.
Our shopping centre has always stood out for its special decoration at this time of year, with children and families very much in mind. Carefully choosing the decorations and the theme takes months of work, culminating in the traditional switching on of the Christmas lights. However, while the decorations will still definitely be spectacular, responsibility and prudence given the health situation make it inadvisable to celebrate this event with crowds. So, in line with the shared responsibility recommended by the authorities at this time, we won’t be celebrating the traditional switching on of the Christmas lights this year.
Even so, the classic giant Christmas tree will once again preside over the decorations at illa Carlemany. Once again it will be over 11 metres high, topped by a big star and, as a novelty this year, it will have over 2,000 LED lights, which at certain times of day will shine in time with the music playing, to offer a great show. And it will all be rounded off with garlands of lights, giant baubles, big clocks and other illuminated features and details to leave old and young open-mouthed, all until 9th January.
