Zero emissions, lower running costs, smooth and quiet driving, more interior space, financial incentives… These are just some of the advantages of electric cars, which over the past decade have had increases in range and reductions in price. We’re seeing more of them on the streets every day, and Andorra facilitates this with an extensive network of charging points, including those at illa Carlemany, right in the centre of Andorra.
Since 2016, the shopping centre’s indoor car park has had four parking spaces with charging points for electric vehicles, through an agreement with the national electricity company FEDA and the automotive brand TESLA. This agreement has been extended to include the Porsche brand, and now there are 12 charging points available here: four for Tesla vehicles, four for Porsche vehicles, and four for other makes of vehicle, supplied by FEDA. Two more FEDA charging points have also been installed in the outdoor car park in front of the shopping centre.
This is part of illa Carlemany’s ongoing commitment to help conserve the environment and provide better services for visitors. Together with other energy saving actions implemented throughout the centre, illa Carlemany is becoming greener and doing its bit to make the country more sustainable.
