It’s almost Christmas time! The streets and Christmas markets are already getting into the holiday spirit. On Thursday, November 28, from 6:00 pm there’s a special event to light the Christmas lights at the Illa Carlemany shopping centre. We will then reveal the fantastic Christmas decoration project that we worked on for the past year, for visitors and the people of Andorra to enjoy.

The decoration changes every year. One element, however, is never missing in the hall of the shopping mall and that’s the giant, 14-metre high, breathtakingly beautiful Christmas tree.

The celebration to light the lights starts on Thursday 6:00 pm with a face paint workshop for kids, so the little ones can also a enjoy a day of fun! At 18:30 p.m., Piolet, Violet and Andi from the children’s TV show Club Piolet will make a special appearance to practice the countdown of the lighting of the lights.

From 7:00 pm, all the lights will go out and comedian Jose Corbacho, who is hosting the event, will give a brief performance to warm up the audience, accompanied by live music. After that, it’s time to welcome Christmas!

After the ceremony, visitors will receive a free teddy bear as a thank you for attending the event. However, visitors will have to go the shopping centre’s Information Point in the days prior to the event to reserve their gift. Hurry up, because there are only 1,400 little bears available!
