At the illa Carlemany shopping centre in Andorra we’ve turned 15!

On 17 July 2009, illa Carlemany opened its doors to the public, offering what was an entirely new offering in the country at the time under one roof: boutique stores, cafés, restaurants, parking, supermarket, gymnasium, service outlets and the only major cinemas in the Principality. Shopping, activities and services for locals and visitors alike.

For 15 years now, illa Carlemany has been a big part of making Andorra a tourist destination for shopping par excellence, in the heart of Escaldes-Engordany and Andorra la Vella. Unique experiences have been shared here, with musical performances, shows, exhibitions, conferences, folklore demonstrations, sporting and gastronomic events, parades, social initiatives and the annual countdowns to lighting up the shopping centre for Christmas.

It has been 15 years of transformation for the country and the neighbourhood (the avinguda Carlemany is now a pedestrian zone, for example), and illa Carlemany is the heart of Andorra thanks to you. Here’s to many more years, and thank you for joining us on this exciting journey!
